The ATR 72, the new addition to Island Air’s fleet, is a twin-engine turboprop regional aircraft built by the French-Italian aircraft manufacturer ATR (Avions de Transport Régional) consortium. Its excellent landing and take-off performance enables Island Air to uniquely service the communities that are inaccessible to jet service.
